The Family Summit offers insight on teens

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) – The Executive Director of Lifeline Youth and Family Services, Mark Terrell stopped by the WANE studio on Sunday to talk about an upcoming event for families and those who work with families.  The Family Summit will feature national speaker Mark Gregston and breakout sessions to help families, teachers, counselors and social workers understand many of the challenges that face teens today.  Gregston will provide three keynote talks and attendees can choose from a number of topics for each breakout session hosted by local organizations to delve into topics such as Navigation Tools for Teens, The Importance of Family Literacy, Tips for Positive Parenting Techniques, Identifying and Responding to Youth Suicide, Cyber Safety for Teens and Establishing Strong Parent-School Partnerships.  For the full list of breakout sessions, visit this page.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at The Summit Fort Wayne, 1025 West Rudisill Blvd.  Reservations are just $10 per person and can be made online. If price is an issue, free scholarships are available.  Please call 260-446-3235.
