Goal line stand leads Saint Francis past Robert Morris

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Robert Morris had 1st and goal from the one-yard line in the final minutes of the game with a chance to tie Saint Francis but the Cougars defense made four goal line stands ending with Matt Muncey’s hit on Eagles QB Kenyatte Adam to lead USF to a 28-21 win.

The offense which was slow to get started was paced by Nick Ferrer who was 17-of-26 with 273 passing yards and three touchdowns, two of which were to Seth Coate. Coate, a Homestead grad, has now scored a touchdown in 21 straight games.

On defense Norwell grad Piercen Harnish had 13 tackles/

With the win USF improves to 7-1. They host Missouri Baptist next week.
