FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Indiana candidate for State Senate, 16th District Democrat Julie Dominguez believes Indiana has a crisis regarding education, with the teacher shortage and decisions made at the Indiana State Capitol. She has long advocated for public school students and teachers, but now she feels she is called to do more.
Dominguez has been a teacher for over 20 years and has spent the last two years teaching at Northside Highschool.
“What better way to solve public education than to elect a teacher and send her down to the State Capitol building to get things done,” Dominguez said.
Dominguez is running against Republican incumbent David Long and will be on the General Election ballot in November.
