CHURBUSCO, Ind. (WANE) – Churbuscuo got revenge over Eastside, undefeated Woodlan started the postseason strong with a win over Bluffton, and Whitko edged Central Noble in 2A sectional play.

In a huge 2A match-up 2A no. 10 Eastside fell 21-16 at 2A no. 13 Churubusco. Garrett Horn led the Busco running attack with 36 carries for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Conner Dove was 14-for-26 passing for 201 yards and a touchdown for Eastside while Aaron Dean hauled in seven passes for 113 yards and a score. Busco will travel to Whitko next Friday.
Whitko and Central Noble played a back-and-forth game at Cougar Field with the Wildcats eventually coming out on top 28-24. Colin Craig’s rushing touchdown with less than six minutes left in the fourth quarter was the difference. Hunter Reed rushed 23 times for 124 yards to lead Whitko while Garrett Elder toted the ball 22 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Whitko will host Busco next Friday.
2A no. 1 Woodlan had no problem besting Bluffton 54-6. Tre’Von McCarter tallied eight carries for 136 yards and two scores while also tacking on a 14-yard receiving touchdown. Jack Rhoades rushed 10 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns as well. Woodlan will travel to South Adams next Friday.
South Adams scored early and often on Friday, beating Prairie Heights 54-7. J.D. Groh rushed nine times for 111 yards and three touchdowns while South Adams quarterback Marcus Teeter threw two touchdown passes and ran in another scores. South Adams will host Woodlan next week.
