AUBURN, Ind. (WANE) An Auburn man has been charged with raping a woman at a Waterloo home after a five-month-long investigation by Indiana State Police
Baraka O. Branch, 20, was arrested on a single charge of rape, a Level 3 felony. Police said Wednesday that Branch allegedly had sex with a woman at a home in rural Waterloo in April. Investigators believed that the victim was “unaware of what was occurring,” according to a release.
Police began looking into the allegations in May, the release said. State police, the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center and the DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office worked collectively, the release said.
