Police find drugs, cash, guns in home; 3 arrested

WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) Police in Warsaw arrested three people Monday after finding drugs, cash and guns in a home.

Police were called around 2:30 p.m. Monday to a home at 1544 W. 400 N. Warsaw St. after an Indiana Department of Child Services worker tried to make a home visit there earlier in the day to investigate a report of drug use at the home. During the visit, police found drug paraphernalia that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to a release.

Police then secured a search warrant and found more than two grams of crystal methamphetamine, more than one pound of marijuana, multiple needles, smoking devices, and other drug paraphernalia, as well as more than $2,500 in cash, two handguns, two sawed-off shotguns, another shotgun, and a muzzleloader, the release said.

Officers arrested 35-year-old Aaron M. Phillips of Warsaw on charges of dealing between 1-5 grams of methamphetamine with enhancement, a level 3 felony; possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine with enhancement, a level 5 felony; dealing between 30g-10lbs of marijuana, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a level 6 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

Also charged were:

Chad A. Heinold, 29 years old, of Warsaw with: maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

Sarah R. Hine, 25 years old, of Kingsford Heights with: possession of marijuana, a level 6 felony; visiting a common nuisance, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
