Return of Mo Evans fuels high expectations for Mastodons

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After missing the second half of the 2015-16 season due to an academic issue Mo Evans is back for his senior season with the Mastodons, and he’s a big reason why expectations are high for Fort Wayne this time around.

Fort Wayne finished 24-10 and won the Summit League regular season title. They were voted as conference favorite in the Summit League preseason poll earlier this month.

Evans, who was ruled ineligible on January 14, was averaging 16.9 points and a team-best 5.1 assists per night.

The Dons open the season November 3 with a home exhibition game against Capital University.
