10/14 SAC Extended Highlights

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – In SAC play 5A no. 1 Snider, who clinched the Victory Bell last week, defeated 3A no. 15 Bishop Luers 52-27 as the Panthers finished the regular season undefeated. The Panthers out-rushed the Knights 342 yards to 108. Quarteback Michael Haupert tallied 106 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Money Woods added eight carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns while Damarious Ridley took a punt back 67 yards for a score. Ty Hambright led Luers with eight carries for 55 yards and a score while Jordan Brooks caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Arion Nieves. Luers finishes the regular season 4-5 and will travel to Northwestern for sectional play next Friday.

At Zoller Stadium 4A no. 8 Bishop Dwenger edged Northrop 31-28 in overtime. Jordan Hudson led the Saints with 10 carries for 118 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown. Amaun Clark tallied four receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Davieun Berry paced the Bruins with eight catches for 83 yards and three touchdowns. Dwenger ends the regular season 6-3 and travels to Marion next Friday.

3A no. 7 Concordia blanked North Side 42-0 behind four touchdown passes from Peter Morrison. Morrison was 10-for-15 for 163 yards including first quarter scoring strikes for 27 yards to Mark Mallers and 21 yards to Kamari Anderson-Drew. Nick Craddock rushed 21 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns for the Cadets. Concordia improves to 7-2 on the season at opens sectional play next Friday at home against Yorktown.

At Jack Weicker Stadium 6A no. 11 Homestead defeated host South Side 49-31 to improve to 7-2. Jiya Wright for 9-for-11 passing for 186 yards and a three touchdowns and also added a TD on the ground. Matt Anderson caught three passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns while Jordan Presley rushed 16 times for 101 yards and two TDs. Dennis Johnson led South Side by throwing for 349 yards and three touchdowns. Toreese Bobo hauled in 11 catches for 198 yards and a score while Eldridge Well racked up nine receptions for 99 yards and two scores. South opens sectional play next Friday by hosting Leo.

6A no. 14 Carroll bested Wayne 23-6 to finish 6-3 in the regular season. Jordan Schmeling caught eight passes for 102 yards and a touchdown for the Chargers. Nic Novotny added 28 carries for 99 yards rushing while Jack Shannon kicked three field goals. Devonair Kelsaw paced the Generals with 11 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown. Wayne will travel to New Haven next Friday to play the Bulldogs in 4A sectional action.
