FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – An all-state pick as a quarterback during his playing days at Concordia, Northrop’s Jason Doerffler is in his third year leading the Bruins.
We mic’d him up last Friday before Northrop’s game against North Side for this week’s edition of “Coach Speak.”
A former IPFW baseball player, coaching is actually in Doerffler’s blood. He played for his father, Dean Doerffler, at Concordia. Jason’s uncle Dale coached North Side for 17 seasons while another uncle, Buzz, is an Indiana Hall of Famer who started the Northrop football program and coached the Bruins from 1971 to 1983.
