FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Northrop boys soccer team ended an eight-year postseason title drought, beating Dwenger 2-0 on Satruday at the Canterbury sectional final.
Denilson Madrid score both goals for Northrop while Nick Craghead secured the shutout in net.
Northrop had a difficult road to the sectional title facing defending sectional champs Canterbury in the first round and then ranked Carroll in penalty kicks.
Northrop advances to the Carroll regional on Thursday. The Bruins are seeking their first ever regional title in boys soccer.
