FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Indiana candidate for Senate, Libertarian Lucy Brenton wants to implement a conservative fiscal policy and that her opponents would simply bring more of the same into the race.
Brenton believes Libertarian values would benefit the state.
“Libertarianism can be distilled down to one thing, which is, don’t hurt people and don’t take their stuff,” Brenton said. “We need to give people the freedom to be themselves.”
Brenton believes the two-party system is broken and hopes to leave behind a different legacy for future generations.
“We can say, those incumbents, they can just get out of the way, because we are going to put new people in who will make a change for the positive,” Brenton said.
Brenton is running against Republican Todd Young and Democrat Evan Bayh and will be on the General Election ballot in November.
