Car rolls over several times; driver avoids injuries

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A three vehicle crash Saturday morning led to one vehicle rolling over several times.

At approximately 10 a.m., a 2000 Buick was traveling westbound in the 5400 block of US 6 when it began to pass a 1997 Chevy Lumina, also headed westbound, entering into the path of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria. The Buick side swiped the Ford Crown Victoria then struck the front corner of the Chevy Lumina. The Ford Crown Victoria spun as it left the north side of the roadway and rolled over several times before coming to rest in a yard. The Chevy Lumina was initially forced off the roadway, but was able to re-enter the roadway and came to a stop.

The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria was removed from the vehicle by Butler Fire Department and was transported by EMS to Parkview Hospital where he was treated and released. The driver of the Buick sustained injuries to the head and arms. The driver of the Chevy Lumina sustained no injuries.

The Buick was totalled, the Chevy Lumina had $3000 worth of damage and the Ford Crown Victoria had $5000 worth of damage.
