Homestead’s Dabagia tied for second at girls state tournament

CARMEL, Ind. (WANE) – Homestead freshman Morgan Dabagia finished her first round at the 44th annual IHSAA girls state golf tournament in Carmel with an even-par 72 and is tied for second heading into Saturday.

Due to weather delays some golfer will have to finish their first round on Saturday with play resuming at 8:30 a.m. That includes current leader Cailyn Henderson of Westfield who lead at -1 through 15 holes. Bishop Dwenger’s Sarah Frazier and Leo’s Brooke Moser both finished their round and are tied for seventh at +3.

As a team, Homestead currently stands fifth at +40 while Bishop Dwenger is 15th at +73. Both the Spartans and Saints have finished their first round. Westfield and Evansville North are tied for first at +21, though neither team has finished their first round.
