FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A vacant, south-side home was badly damaged by fire early Friday.
Fort Wayne firefighters were called just before 5:30 a.m. Friday to a home at 4646 Southpark Dr. on a report of a house fire. Crews arrived within three minutes to find half of the home heavily involved in fire and threatening a neighboring home, according to the fire department.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in nine minutes, a report said. The home sustained heavy fire damage and moderate water and smoke damage.
The small, single story home was vacant. There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The department said it is under investigation.
