James Keeran, 55, was safely located Tuesday, four days after he was last seen, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

Barb Clevenger, Keeran’s sister, told NewsChannel 15 early Tuesday morning that her brother had been staying at Big Rock Cabins on Big Run Road in Jackson, Ohio, 75 miles south of Columbus. Keeran was last seen taking a hike Friday night, Clevenger said.

The Jackson County Ohio Sheriff’s Department searched the area around the resort throughout the weekend with officers on foot and on ATVs, as well as with a K-9 and a helicopter, Clevenger said.

It’s not clear how or where Keeran was found, or what condition he was in.
