WOODLAN, Ind. (WANE) – In ACAC play 2A no. 2 Woodlan rolled to 5-0 with a 57-7 win over Southern Wells, setting a new school record with 594 yards of total offense (the old record was 541 yards vs. Central Noble in 2013). Tre’Von McCarter racked up 134 yards rushing and four rushing touchdowns on just six carries while catching six passes for 117 yard and a score. McCarter’s five touchdowns ties a school record for TDs in one game. Justin Durkes was 12-of-18 passing for 262 yards and three touchdowns while Jack Rhoades ran 11 times for 120 yards and had both a rushing and receiving touchdown.
1A no. 5 Adams Central improved to 5-0 on the season with a 35-6 win at Heritage. Drew Schultz rushed 23 times for 127 yards and three touchdowns to lead Adams Central. Joel Deakins caught two passes for 32 yard – including a 20-yard score – to lead the Patriots.
Elsewhere in the ACAC Jay County beat Bluffton 37-18 and South Adams shutout Wes-Del 35-0.
