FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Thanks to a pair of goals from Oscar Uyamadu, Fort Wayne men’s soccer shutout Northern Kentucky on Wednesday (Sept. 14) evening in a non-conference contest at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
Both of Uyamadu’s goals came in the final half. His first came a minute and a half into the second. Doing all of the work on his own, he beat a defender in front of the goal and finished from just a few yards out.
His second came in the 64th minute from the top of the penalty area. He pounded the shot home after Spencer Brown delivered him the feed for an assist.
Jorge Trujillo made seven saves for the ‘Dons to earn the shutout.
The ‘Dons move to 4-3-0 with the win. Northern Kentucky falls to 0-5-1. Fort Wayne returns to the pitch on Saturday (Sept. 17) in a non-conference contest at Dayton.
