INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) A Fishers, Indiana man was killed early Thursday morning in a chain-reaction crash on I-69 north of I-465 in Indianapolis.
The crash took place at about 4:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-69 just south of 96th street according to Indiana State Police.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found three semis and three other vehicles. A driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene and two other drivers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The deceased driver has been identified as 23-year-old Jaspreet Darar.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash. Multiple lanes of I-69 were closed while crews cleared the scene. All lanes were expected to be reopened by late morning or early afternoon.
