SEATTLE (WANE) – Corunna native Jarrett Grube will be in the Seattle Mariners bullpen tonight against the Detroit Tigers after being called up from Triple-A Tacoma where he was scheduled to start.

The Mariners beat the Tigers in a 15-inning marathon and calling up Grube will help an overworked relief corp.

Grube is 1-2 with a 3,97 ERA with the Tacoma Rainiers this season. He began the season with Cleveland’s Triple-A squad in Columbus before being granted his release June 9.

The 34-year old Grube has one MLB appearance to his credit, throwing two-thirds of an inning against the Oakland Athletics while playing for the Los Angeles Angels in 2014.
