Search called off at Lake Webster

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Conservation officers called off a search Friday night after a reported drowning at Webster Lake.

A witness told police they saw a man bobbing up and down in distress as they drove by. He then disappeared under the water without coming back up.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said no one was drowning and the search was called off at 11 Friday night.

The DNR is expected to release more information Saturday.
