INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) – Lt. Governor Eric Holcomb, the Republican nominee for Governor of Indiana, today announced that he has asked State Auditor Suzanne Crouch to serve as his running mate on the November 2016 ballot.
“Suzanne brings to our ticket a strong record, an impressive resume and valuable experience in four separate and important roles in local and state government, at both legislative and executive levels,” Holcomb said in a news release.
Currently serving as Indiana’s 56th Auditor of State since 2014, Crouch has previously served a State Representative for Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties. She served as Vanderburgh County Commissioner and as Vanderburgh County Auditor.
“She is full of energy and passion and is a natural at barnstorming the state. She is a relentless campaigner, a great fundraiser and will be the perfect governing partner if we are honored to serve as Governor and Lt. Governor,” Holcomb said in a news release.
Crouch was born in Evansville, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University. She is married to a man named Larry Downs and together they have a grown daughter, Courtney.
