FORT WAYNE, Ind.- The rain didn’t stop some music lovers from heading downtown to the Baals Music Festival.
“I just love raves and stuff,” said Austin Carroll. “I just love that Fort Wayne has been blossoming with the rave culture.”
It wasn’t quite the turnout people had hoped for, but festival goers had no regrets about going out and enjoying the music.
“I think people who really want to party are going to come anyways,” said Katelynn Gambell.
When the heavy rain fell some sought shelter, others had no problem dancing in the rain.
“I guarantee there’s some people that when the show starts,” said Austin Krohn. “That’s just going to add to the fuel really.”
Friday night kicked off the two-night festival on Columbia Street at The Landing. The festival features national, regional, and local music acts.
“It’s pretty awesome, it’s pretty crazy, It’s usually a lot bigger than this but we’re going to make it happen,” said Gambell.
This is the fifth year for the festival, but the first two-day event.
The BAALS Music Festival runs until Midnight, then again from five until Midnight tomorrow.
