City Council members will get their first look at the contract that includes, among other things, the final design and engineering development on Tuesday, It covers the details that need to be in place before work starts.

Riverfront designIf approved, the plan will cost $1.7 million and is part of the $6 million of Legacy money council already approved for the project.

A discussion could happen at next week’s meeting, with a vote coming on the 26th.

The Board of Park Commissioners is in the process of getting three properties near Superior and Harrison.

Once those hurdles are cleared, construction could start next year and be finished in 2018.
