FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Another season is in the books for Fort Wayne’s Smallest Winner. The weight-loss organization named their winner and runner-up Saturday July 9.
FWSW is a 15-week program where 25 individuals get the right tools to get healthy. Participants are put through a rigorous training program that includes dieting and exercise set to each individual.
It was a record year for FWSW. This year’s runner-up, Matt Wilson, lost the most weight ever in the history of the program. He lost 122.2 pounds or 27% of his initial weigh-in. The contest is based on how much percentage weight is lost by each participant. Broc Walter is the winner of Season 9. He lost 71.6 pounds or 29.27% of his initial weigh-in.
Founders and organizers Rick and Tina Walters along with Wilson stopped by First News Sunday to recap this year’s season. To view their full interview click on the video above.
If interested in participating next year, don’t worry. “There will definitely be a Season 10,” Rick said.
