INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Gov. Mike Pence has directed flags at Indiana facilities statewide to be flown at half-staff beginning immediately to honor the five police officers shot and killed in Dallas.
Pence said in a news release that flags should be flown at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday and asked businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff to honor the service and sacrifice of the five slain law enforcement officers. He said he was issuing the directive in accordance with a similar federal proclamation by President Barack Obama.
