Band keeps it all in the family and Fort Wayne

The band was created by Annette Offerle, Luke Offerle and Jonah Baker. All are from Fort Wayne.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The family that sings together, succeeds together. Oferle, made up off a brother, sister and cousin, continues to grow in popularity.

The band was created by Annette Offerle, Luke Offerle and Jonah Baker. All are from Fort Wayne. The group took first place in the Indianapolis songwriter competition, “From Bar to Star”, along with being chosen out of over 150 acts to perform for The Circle of Lights Festival in Indianapolis. WAJI 95.1 FM said the band is “the best of local music”, “a local sensation”, and “a rising star”.

Some of their other performances include the BAALS Music and Three Rivers Festivals. According to the band’s website, they specialize in authentic, down to earth music with a balance between Pop, and Modern Acoustic/Alternative music.

Oferle stopped by First News Saturday to talk about their most recent performance. The group is scheduled to perform at Art in the Park Saturday July 9 at 2PM and at Headwaters Park Wednesday July 13 on the main stage.
