FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A two-vehicle crash closed a portion of southbound Interstate 69 near the General Motors plant in southwest Allen County Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called around 9 a.m. to the 296 mile marker on a report of a two-vehicle crash.
Investigators determined that a group of six Enterprise Rental cars were merging from I-469 to I-69 when the driver of the first car in the group hesitated while getting ready to merge. The driver crashed into a guardrail and the second car drove into it. One person was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
The Indiana Department of Transportation tweeted at 10:11 a.m. that both southbound lanes of the interstate were back open.
It’s not clear if there were any injuries associated with the crash.
