Emergency crews were called around 9 a.m. to the 296 mile marker on a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Investigators determined that a group of six Enterprise Rental cars were merging from I-469 to I-69 when the driver of the first car in the group hesitated while getting ready to merge.  The driver crashed into a guardrail and the second car drove into it.  One person was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The Indiana Department of Transportation tweeted at 10:11 a.m. that both southbound lanes of the interstate were back open.

It’s not clear if there were any injuries associated with the crash.

We’ll update this story as we learn more information.
