High-speed chase ends with stop sticks, arrest

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Police in LaGrange County used stop sticks to stop a vehicle that reportedly sped into the county from Goshen, then arrested its driver.

LaGrange County Sheriff’s deputies were called Thursday by Goshen police as their officers were involved in a high-speed pursuit of a white Nissan Altima approaching LaGrange County. Police said the chase started in Goshen and went east on S.R. 4 before it veered north on the LaGrange County Line. From there, police chased the sedan eastbound on LaGrange County C.R. 100 South.

There, LaGrange County deputies placed two sets of stop sticks in the path of the Altima. The vehicle ultimately was stopped at the intersection of C.R. 250 West and C.R. 100 South.

The driver – Lyndsay Grate of LaGrange – was arrested. Grate reportedly had active warrants out of both Elkhart and LaGrange counties.
