FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Teams of two will grab their bikes to compete in a city-wide event Saturday.
The second annual Fort Wayne Adventure Games puts participants to the test with over 35 physical and mental obstacles, including kayaking, zip lining, puzzles, jump roping and more. Checkpoints will be kept secret until just before the start of the race, which began just before 8 a.m.
“It’s just a way to feature some of our unique sports venues, some of our unique recreational parks, trails and also an opportunity to really get out and enjoy our city in a way you can’t really do on a daily basis,” Sport Wayne, Inc. CEO Corey Ford said.

Ford said this year’s race will let participants do things they would never get to do elsewhere in the city, such as zip lining though a fountain. He also said he’s excited for the human slingshot checkpoint.
There are three different race categories people are competing in: Fun Race, Open Race and Elite Race.
