Pacers draft Iowa State’s Georges Niang with lone pick in 2016 NBA Draft

NEW YORK, New York (WANE) –  With 50th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft the Pacers selected Iowa State forward Georges Niang.

The 6-9 forward averaged 20.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game as a senior for the Cyclones.

Niang was the Pacers only pick in Thursday night’s draft. Hours before the draft started they traded their first round pick (No.20) to Brooklyn. The Nets took Michigan’s Caris LeVert.
