Police announce street closures for Three Rivers Festival

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Police Department on Wednesday announced the following street closures during the 2016 Three Rivers Festival, held Friday, July 8 through Saturday, July 16.

Saturday, July 9 from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Three Rivers Opening Day Parade

  • West Wayne Street from Thieme to Fairfield
  • West Main Street from Runnion to Lafayette
  • Van Buren Street from Superior to Washington
  • Fairfield Avenue from Superior to Wayne
  • Ewing Street from Main to Wayne
  • Harrison Street from Wayne to Main
  • Calhoun Street from Superior to Washington
  • Berry Street from Clinton to Fairfield
  • Superior Street from Clinton to Harrison
  • Barr Street from Main to Berry

Saturday, July 16 from 4-11 p.m. for the Three Rivers Festival Fireworks

  • Calhoun Street from Jefferson to Berry
  • Wayne Street from Harrison to Clinton
  • Washington Street from Clinton to Harrison (10:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.)

OTHER CLOSURES:

Friday, July 8 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, July 10 at 11 p.m. for Art in the Park

  • East Main Street from Clinton to Lafayette
  • Barr Street from Main to Berry

Friday, July 8 at 7 p.m. through Saturday, July 16 at 11 p.m.

  • The left curb lane of S. Clinton Street by Headwaters Park from the MLK Bridge to Superior Street, effective 24-hours/day

Wednesday, July 13 from 5-9 p.m. – Bed Race

  • East Main Street from Lafayette Street to Clinton Street

The police department said any vehicles found parked in these areas will be subject to ticket and tow.
