Electric utilities on the ready for possible power outages

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  With severe storms possible on Wednesday, electricity providers are ready to take action to restore power if outages occur.

I&M customers can report outages at 1-800-311-6434 or online at IndianaMichiganPower.com/outages. The utility also offers text and email alerts as a means for customers to check on the status of home or businesss power outages.

NIPSCO electric customers can report on outage by texting “Out” to 444111 or online via a mobile device at m.nipsco.com.  Customers can also call 1-800-4-NIPSCO.

Northeastern REMC customers can report outages by calling (260) 625-3700 or (260) 244-6111 or by logging into their account.

Heartland REMC customers can report outages by calling (866) 336-2492.

Kosciusko REMC customers can report outages by calling (574) 267-6331 and pressing 1.

Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative customers can report outages by calling (800) 686-2357.
