FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The popular Arab Fest has returned to Headwaters Park West.

arab festLast year, more than 1,000 people attended the first event – overwhelming event organizers.

The Indiana Center for Middle East Peace again hosted the event at Headwaters Park. The event ran all day Saturday and runs Sunday from noon until 7 p.m.

Saturday included traditional Arab food, live entertainment, shopping and popular camel rides. Those same activities are scheduled for Sunday except for camel rides.

The free, family-friendly event is held under a tent which helped with Saturday’s rain.

In addition to live enterintament, henna artists, Arabic script writers and protraits of prominent Arab-Americans will be on display.

More information about the festival can be found at www.indianacmep.org and on their Facebook page.
