Tidwell, TinCaps top Cubs in series opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – After a week on the road, the TinCaps returned to Parkview Field with a 5-1 win over the South Bend Cubs on Tuesday night.

Fort Wayne (27-25) right fielder Jhonatan Peña broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning with a bases-loaded single off reliever Casey Bloomquist (L, 3-2).
