FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Two semis collided on U.S. 30 late morning Tuesday in a crash that closed one of the highway’s westbound lanes.
Police were called around 10:40 a.m. to a stretch of U.S. 30 near the intersection of Doyle Road just outside New Haven on a report of a crash involving two semis.
According to investigators at the scene, a semi tractor-trailer that was westbound on U.S. 30 rear-ended another at the light at Doyle Road. Police were not sure whether the second rig was stopped or slowed when it was struck.
It’s not clear whether the drivers of either semi were injured in the collision.
One lane of westbound U.S. 30 was closed while crews cleaned the wreckage. The lane was reopened at noon.
