INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Looks like Larry Bird didn’t have to go far to find his new Pacers head coach.
There are reports that the Blue and Gold have settled on Pacer assistant Nate McMillan as Frank Vogel’s successor.
The 51-year old McMillan has been with the Pacers for three years, was Seattle’s head coach from 2000 through 2005 and then moved down the coast to lead the Portland Trail Blazers for seven more seasons.
He also served as an assistant for the U.S. Olympic team in Beijing in 2008 and in London four years later.
Stay tuned, the team has yet to make it official.
