Shooting victim dropped off at hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The victim of a shooting was dropped off at a Fort Wayne hospital early Friday morning.

Emergency dispatchers were notified shortly before 3 a.m. that a shooting victim was dropped off by someone in a personal vehicle. The driver left the hospital before police arrived.

Police said the man appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck. He was listed in serious condition, but a physician later downgraded to him. The victim was immediately taken to another hospital.

Investigators are still trying to determine a possible location of the shooting. Police do not have any suspect information. Detectives hope to get more information once they interview the victim.
