FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Democratic Senate candidate Baron Hill was in Fort Wayne Friday continuing his campaign around the area.
Hill told NewsChannel 15 if elected he would want to raise the minimum wage and focus on fixing education issues across the state. He also said all the fighting in Washington needs to stop.
“I think the American people are sick and tired of all the partisan bickering that’s going on,” Hill said. “They want us to work. They don’t care if we are Republican and Democrats. We are Hoosiers and they want us to roll up our sleeves and work well with one another in order to do what’s right for the American People.”
Hill was a representative for the 9th congressional district, serving from 1999 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2011. He’ll face Republican nominee Todd Young in the November election.
