FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The historic Barr Street Market will reopen with a new name on May 21. Ten years ago, the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) partnered with the History Center to “offer fresh and unique produce, meats, baked goods and homemade crafts in a cultural setting as an all volunteer operated farmers market. The rebranded event will be called the YLNI Farmers Market.
The market is located at the corner of Barr and Wayne Streets, just south of The History Center on Saturdays from 9a.m. to 1p.m. Both farm and nonfarm vendors participate. It features a diverse selection of vendors each week sharing locally and regionally grown, produced or created products. Visitors can also enjoy live music and activities for children during the market. The market will continue weekly until September 12.
