Fort Wayne, Ind.  (WANE) – In the last three months, the Mustard Seed Furniture Bank has been successful in receiving more referrals than usual from partner agencies to help families in need.  As a result, their supply of twin size sheet sets and blankets and new pillows is getting depleted.  Mustard Seed repurposes household items that still have ‘life to share.’ Currently they are in need of donations of clean, twin size bedding and new pillows. These items do not need to be new, only clean, and in good condition.

Donations hours are available, Monday to Friday, 10a.m. to 4p.m. at the Illinois Road location.  Pick up by appointment is available for large size items.

Mustard Seed also has a program called Beds4Kids which supplies a new foundation, mattress and pillow and gently used bed frame, blanket and sheets to children who sleep on the floor, on a broken mattress or in other unsafe conditions.  Anyone who wants to help with this need can do so on the updated website, and click on Beds4Kids.
