FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Flamboyant hard rock band KISS is coming to Fort Wayne.
The Memorial Coliseum announced KISS will bring its 35-show Freedom to Rock Tour to the arena August 12. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 15 at 10 a.m.
In its fourth decade of rocking audiences, the band famous for its black-and-white makeup and booming vocals is the No. 1 Gold Record award-winning group of all-time, according to its website. With hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Calling Dr. Love” and “Detroit Rock City,” the Rock N Roll Hall of Famers have released 44 albums and sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
The August show will be the 11th time KISS has performed at the Memorial Coliseum, and the first since 1997.
Memorial Coliseum General Mananger Randy Brown announced the show with “Rock and Roll All Nite” playing in the background, and his staff dressed in KISS shirts. He promised a memorable show that will sell out.
“KISS is a lot of fun,” said Brown. “If you haven’t been to a KISS show, here’s your chance. It’s going to be a great time.”
