Police arrest 2 people found hiding in porta-potty

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Police arrested two people wanted for corruption after responding to a report of suspicious activity inside a portable restroom.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s department, officers responded around 10 a.m. to Oswego near Tippecanoe Lake. As officers approached the portable toilets, investigators said a man ran from one of the units. Police then found a woman hiding inside one of the porta-potties.

Authorities later found the man hiding inside a cabin-cruiser style boat nearby.

The man, identified as Steven Paul Gasaway, 25, of Warsaw was arrested on the following active warrants:

  • Felony Corruption Business Influence
  • Possession of a schedule I, II, III, IV Controlled Substance
  • 1 Count of Failure to Appear (Felony)
  • 3 Counts of Failure to Appear (Misdemeanor)

Gasaway is currently being held without bond in the Kosciusko County Jail as related to his charges.

The woman, Hannah Marie Brown, 23, of Warsaw was also wanted for Felony Corruption Business Influence. Her bond was set at $10,250.
