FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After a longer wait than originally anticipated Auston Robertson is officially a Michigan State football player.

The defensive end signing his national letter of intent with the Spartans on Wednesday morning.

Originally, Robertson was set to signs with MSU on February 3 – National Signing Day – but he needed to resolve legal troubles before signing.

You can read about those legal troubles here as reported by WANE’s news gathering partner The News-Sentinel.

A six-foot-five, 250-pounder, the former Wayne High School standout is currently ranked as the 140th-best player in the country by recruiting website Rivals.com. He’s also considered the second-best senior in the state of Indiana by Rivals, one spot behind Bishop Luers standout/Ohio State signee Austin Mack.
