JDRF One Walk

Fort Wayne, Ind.  (WANE) – If you have Type One Diabetes you know that keeping track of your blood sugar levels is a full time job.  If you aren’t affected by T1D be glad.  There is still no cure for Type One, and too many questions about why it strikes.  The Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) hopes you’ll show support to those in our community who are fighting it every day at the local One Walk.  It’s held to raise funds for research to turn Type One into Type None.  This year’s goal is $85,707.  It’s scheduled for Saturday, May 7 with check in at 9a.m. followed by the walk at 10a.m.  This year it moves downtown to Headwaters Park West.  WANE-TV anchor Heather Herron will emcee the walk.

Pre registration is available online. You can create a team, join a team or sign up as an individual.  For more information about the research that JDRF is doing, click here.
