You Go Girl! A champion for the homeless

This month’s You Go Girl! woman of empowerment and inspiration is a community service leader who has become a champion of the homeless.  The inspiration for  Sally Segerson’s efforts came when she took part in a Fort Wayne homeless count.  Click on the video to hear her story.

The “You Go Girl!” project is the brainchild of Mary Byrd and Casey Brothers of Fort Wayne.

Mary, aka CurlyByrdie, and Casey, owner of Le Petite Studios, wanted to find a way to turn their passion of making women feel beautiful into a project to inspire women.

Each year 12 women will be carefully chosen. These women will be deserving of something wonderful in their life and will receive a full makeover and photo shoot provided by local businesses.

Live interviews will be featured on First News Saturday which airs from 8 am to 9 am on the following dates:

  • February 27
  • March 26
  • April 30
  • May 28
  • June 25
  • July 30
  • August 27
  • September 24
  • October 29
  • November 26

If you know a deserving woman, nominate them.
