Canterbury and Warsaw come up short in semi-state

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WANE) – Canterbury’s Cindarella postseason run came to an end to Lapel on Saturday with the Cavaliers falling 55-49 to the Bulldogs in the 2A semi-state at Huntington North.

The Cavaliers were led by Jalen Paul’s 18 points. Nathan White followed with 13 points. Lapel was led by Jon Richardson who scored 16 points.

Canterbury ends their seaon 16-11. This is the first time Canterbury has advanced to the 2A semi-state.

In 4A Warsaw fell to McCutcheon 40-37 in the Lafayette Jefferson semi-state. Kyle Mangas led all scorers with 19 points for the Tigers. Paul Marandet was held to six points. Robert Phinisee led McCutcheon with 16 points.

Warsaw ends their year with a 25-2 record.
