POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. (WANE) – Top-seeded Saint Francis bested Mount Mercy 89-92 on Friday as the Cougars punched their ticket to the Elite Eight at the NAIA DII National Tournament.
Kegan Comer and Evan Henry led the way for USF with 18 points apiece.
Austin Fox tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds, becoming USF’s all-time leading rebounder in the process.
Bryce Lienhoop also had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Jordan Hahn netted 16 points.
The Cougars will now play Keiser University at 2 p.m. Eastern on Saturday. If they win they’ll play in the Final Four Monday at 7 p.m.
