Large hole in downtown street forces lane restrictions

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Indiana Department of Transportation says Crews are working to repair a section of road near the intersection of Clinton and Wayne streets, by Citizens Square downtown. Repairs are expected to keep lanes closed through Monday.

Clinton St. hole in road Traffic on Clinton Street has been restricted with the middle three lanes closed during repairs. The far left and far right lanes are still open to motorists.

Nichole Hacha-Thomas, media relations director with INDOT, said they are working to determine how best to repair the road.

Spokesperson for the City of Fort Wayne said the road problem was caused by a conduit that carries communications lines. He said some lanes will be closed through Monday.
