Shoaff Park temporarily closed under power line work

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The city has closed Shoaff Park temporarily while power company AEP restores power lines.

The park off St. Joe Road on the city’s northeast side will be closed all day Monday, the city said. It will be reopened “when the area is safe,” according to a release from the city’s Parks and Recreation department.

AEP is working to restore overhead power lines that were knocked down after a vehicle slammed into four power poles along the park’s main roadway and downed them.
