2 arrested, 1 wanted in burglary investigation

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  An Angola couple was arrested Friday following a nearly two month burglary investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s detectives received two separate complaints of burglary that occurred in the same area, the 100 and 300 blocks of N CR 425 W.

Warrants were issued for Britnee N. Bruner, 27, and Nicholas W. Bruner, 25, and Kasey N. Giffin, 27. The couple was arrested. However the sheriff’s office is still looking for Giffin. The warrants charged the group with the following:

Britnee Bruner

  • Burglary, a level 5 felony
  • Theft, a class A misdemeanor
  • There was an additional warrant for her arrest for failure to appear on an unrelated matter

Nicholas Bruner

  • Burglary, a level 4 felony
  • Theft, a class A misdemeanor

Kasey Giffin

  • Burglary, a level 4 felony
  • Theft, a class A misdemeanor

Britnee Bruner and Nicholas Bruner were both taken to the Steuben County Jail, where Britnee is being held without bond pending her initial appearance in court and Nicolas is being held on a $13,000 bond.

As the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office continues its search for Giffin, it asks that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact the office or the Steuben County Crime Stoppers. Deputies describe Giffin as a white man, about 5’ 10’’ tall and about 140 lbs. He has brown eyes, brown hair and was last known to have a full beard.
